12 Weeks and Moving Along!
Yesterday was my 12 week visit to the doctor. Everything went well and the baby's heartbeat was 164 and beating strong! I have been so very tired and not eating that great, so I was amazed when she told me I had only gained a couple of pounds. Dr. Mestemacher said everything looked great and unless there were problems, she would see me next month on September 18. I told Grayson after school yesterday about the visit and I can't describe how excited he gets when talking about the baby! He continues to ask when he gets to go for the doctor visit! We are hoping to be able to take him for the ultrasound visit. We are continuing to pray for a healthy pregnancy and new addition, right now called SHIM (she + him)!

Grant's First Day of 2 Year Preschool
Today was Grant's first day of 2 year old preschool at Germantown Presbyterian Preschool. He has been excited about starting for weeks, so it didn't surprise me that once we got into his classroom he was ready for me to go! We washed his hands and after he threw away his paper towel, he turned, looked at me and said "Bye Mom!". It didn't matter that there were 4 other kids screaming their heads off, he was ready to stay and play. After school, we headed to the park to eat our McDonald's. We found a nice spot to eat until the geese decided to run us off. I wish I had been able to take Grant's picture at that point, but there was way too much chaos at the time and Grant was terrified as these geese were being very ugly!! So we found a new spot for Grant to finish his lunch, but every 5 seconds he was looking behind him to make sure the geese weren't coming to get him!
Here are a few photos from Grant's first day!

Look Out First Grade!!!
Ok so now that I have figured out this blog thing, I decided to post one more time. I promise I will not bore you daily with blogs!!
Grayson started first grade last Monday, August 11. I thought it was difficult starting kindergarten, but I am thinking it doesn't get any easier as each new school year approaches. As each new school year begins, I think you realize how much more grown up your children are and it is great in some ways, but in other ways it is really sad. I started to reflect on all my memories of Grayson over the last 6 1/2 years and how special he is to us and how proud we are of him. He of course had no problems about going to first grade. He was a little concerned at first because there was only one little girl from his kindergarten class in his new first grade class and he didn't get the teacher that he wanted. However, he quickly realized that he has no problem socializing and that he would be ok! He likes his teacher and his new friends and is quickly adjusting to first grade routine, which includes bringing his daily planner home each day with his homework assignments. So we made it through week one with a visit to the treasure box. Here is a picture of what he picked from the treasure box:
If you are anything like me, I wanted to know what the heck it was. It is a pink CD case with a cute unicorn on the front. He said he thought it was cool but the real reason he chose it was because his new friend Allie wanted it too, but since Grayson got it, she was going to bring him a cool car from her house on Monday so they could trade! How about that for Grayson our negotiater trying to get a toy from someone else's house! Of course now through the weekend he has come to like his pink CD case and has filled it with an array of CD's. Of course I was looking through it with him tonight and he not only has kid cd's, but he has some Christmas ones, and then there was a Pearl Jam cd. So who knows where he is getting them all from! Nevertheless, we all survived the first week of first grade and are looking forward to many more memories from the school year.

So I have finally broken down and decided to start a blog! After thinking about it for several months, I thought it might be an easier way for me to journal about things going on in our family and be able to share with family and friends. So let me play catch up for a second and back up to June 30, 2008 when we found out we were expecting baby clothier #3! We kept things really quiet until July 24th when we had our first appt. and also had an ultrasound which confirmed the baby for us. We told the boys on Friday evening July 25th and they are both very excited. We gave Grayson the ultrasound picture below and asked him to tell us what it was. He said it was a baby but was having difficulty with which baby. So we let him know it was a new baby and his response was, "you mean to tell me there is a baby in there!" as he looked at me. Grayson is really excited and wants another brother, of course! Grant is just acting excited because Grayson is and says he wants a "sista"! We think he just likes the way the word sounds! We have another appt. next week and will be 12 weeks at that point. Please pray for a healthy pregnancy for us and baby #3.

Moving forward just a bit to July 30th, Grayson lost his first tooth while on vacation with Chris's family in Eureka Springs. He had so many friends who were younger than him that had lost teeth already and has been dying because he hasn't lost any yet. So finally he was able to experience the loss of a tooth before going to first grade!! He was very excited and the tooth fairy came and left him a dollar for his tooth. Now that tooth number 1 is gone, tooth number 2 quickly became loose and within a week he had lost that one as well. The tooth fairy has been very busy at the Clothier household! So now we are missing both of our bottom middle teeth!
